Another Cup of Joe
I forgot to add this link to Joe McCuaig's Flickr page -- you can view a whole lot more of his images here.
And read some of his homespun philosophy. I think Joe's right. Good and evil are two sides of the same coin. Wherever you observe the one, the other is not far away.

The peace sign forced a lump into my throat. I thought the hands were bloody and I thought of the 'peace' in Iraq right now. Then I read the comments and realized how my interpretation of his art didn't seem to fit others.
Oh well, my vision of his art moved me;>
I can't speak for Joe but I always like to say that any interpretation of my art is fine... especially if it moves someone in a positive way...
I guess the peace sign was inspired by this site with over 5000 peace signs in various contexts.
Kym...Your the only one so far that caught the "bloody hands " part...thought that was going to slip through the cracks...thanx
I know I'm glad when someone likes my work even if they don't see it the same way I do but I'm thrilled when they like it AND see what I was saying!
And, Joe, Thank You for that moving piece. It has stuck in my mind (even when I thought I got it 'wrong').
I just had the best time giggling and admiring Joe's work. I really want to hear the lengthy story behind "A.J."
A.J. the Circus Geek?...Its my grandson who is [was] screwing around in school..I asked him if he wanted to be a geek when he got older..He was 7 at the time...He thought a Geek meant computer geek...then I read him the definition from the dictionary of the old meaning...I hope he thinks about it and gets his act together...lol
That's funny, Joe. Thanks for filling me in. Love your work.
You hand in your ticket
And you go watch the geek
Who immediately walks up to you
When he hears you speak
And says, "How does it feel
To be such a freak?"
And you say, "Impossible"
As he hands you a bone
