Thanx JoJo. I am thinking about a another kitty but I already have two other cats here who are enjoying the extra space. Zeus was the newcomer, arriving on my doorstep four winters ago, six inches of snow on the ground, and he was light as a feather.
I checked around and found out his history. He was an old guy, 15 or so years old when he got here. Abandoned by neighbors who had a 'good year' and were vacationing overseas.
While the others are outside cats who spend most of their time carousing the hood, Zeus spent most of the time inside (like me). My constant companion, I used to paint sometimes with him on my lap. He also liked to sit on my lap when I was online. He was a good boy, I miss him a lot.

Sounds like your Zeus was a lot like my Hitchcock. I still see him in darkened rooms out of the corner of my eye.
